DESCRIPTION:SVF helps poor children acquire new skills to enhance their livelihood. \nAs a part of initiatives to help the poor\, SVF launched on March 16\, 2025 Sanskrit learning Classes in Hindi medium for North Indian children at the Veda Patashala in Kandamangalam\, near Thanjavur. The first program was conducted in person by Sri. Subi Subramanian. This will be followed by a series of online lessons\, averaging two per week. Picture shows the children with the Guru.

DESCRIPTION:29.03.2025 Poor Feeding Event \nSVF performed ‘Annadhaanam’ – Poor Feeding to the less fortunate people at Swamimalai. The food was prepared fresh and was served hot to over 50 people from the local community. The menu included Kesari – a sweet dish and Vada. As the adage goes\, ‘The proof of the pudding is in the eating\,’ the bright smiles on the faces of people provided ample proof of the recipients’ complete satisfaction.

We are delighted to share that our very first year has been both meaningful and successful\, marked by diverse programs and impactful initiatives. \nWe began the year with an online seminar titled “Timeless Wisdom: Bridging the Ancient to Modern Environmental Protection\,” which was attended by more than sixty participants. This was followed by several noteworthy activities throughout the year\, including: \n\nA World Water Day program on “Water Conservation\,” in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. The event was attended by over one hundred participants.\nA Poor Feeding Program\, followed by the distribution of cool drinks during the summer\, helping to alleviate hunger and thirst for more than one hundred people in a rural area.\nStrengthening the SVF team by inducting two highly qualified and experienced professionals as Advisory Members.\nThe launch of SVF’s newsletter\, Sunshine.\nBuilding a partnership with the World Council of Professionals and Industry (WCPI)—a Scientific\, Industrial Research\, and Community Development Organization—focused on sustainable development\, conservation\, and management of natural resources\, including participation in their river-related programs.\nPromoting renewable energy by the installation of a 3Kw solar power system for a home.\nA milestone achievement with the launch of an SVF Students’ Chapter at DMI College of Engineering near Chennai\, marked by an in-person seminar on “Water Conservation and Audit\,” attended by over one hundred students and faculty members.\nParticipation in the 4th International Rivers Summit at Prayagraj\, where Subi Subramanian served as a keynote speaker.\nCreation and launch of an attractive and informative SVF website.\nAs part of our social media outreach\, the launch of an SVF Facebook page to highlight the importance of protecting Mother Nature.\nRecruitment of a Program Coordinator\n\nAs we step into the New Year\, we look forward to continuing this journey and reaching greater heights in 2026\, with the continued goodwill and support of all. \nWith warm wishes\, \nSubi Vidya Foundation (SVF) Team
